By using the VoteScores platform or any Election Edge service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Election Edge provides voter education tools, candidate comparison quizzes, election monitoring, and related civic technology services for the Kenya 2027 General Election and future elections.

VoteScores is non-partisan. Match scores reflect policy alignment, not endorsement. We do not recommend candidates.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• One person, one account - no impersonation or fake accounts
• Campaign accounts require identity verification
• Multi-factor authentication is required for privileged roles

You agree not to:

• Submit false election data or fabricated evidence
• Attempt to manipulate match scores or voting projections
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-access the platform without authorization
• Interfere with the platform's security or availability
• Use the platform for voter intimidation or electoral fraud
• Impersonate another user, election official, or IEBC officer

Submissions to the Evidence Engine and People's Tally are treated as election records. Knowingly submitting false data is a violation of these terms and may be reported to relevant authorities.

Evidence submissions are immutable - once submitted, they cannot be modified or deleted. This is by design for legal integrity.

The platform's code, design, and branding are owned by Election Edge Ltd. Election data, candidate positions, and quiz questions are provided for public use under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license.

Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019.

We aim for high availability, especially during election periods, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

Election Edge provides information for voter education purposes. We are not responsible for voting decisions made based on quiz results. Match scores are approximations based on available candidate position data.

To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, Election Edge shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall first be addressed through mediation. If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
