About Vote Scores
Vote Scores is not affiliated with, endorsed or certified by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. It is an independent public-data reference site. It publishes how US fund families and large institutional managers reported voting the shares they hold, as filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Form N-PX. For the year to 30 June 2026 that is 4,951 filers and 23.6 million vote records. Each record is set beside the median filer of the same kind, the largest families and earlier seasons, so that a number can be read in context.
What it is for
An investor who wants to see how the funds in a retirement account voted on executive pay; a journalist covering proxy season; a stewardship or investor-relations team checking how holders reported their votes; a student of corporate governance. The filings are public, but each is a single XML file of up to a hundred thousand rows with no page per company and no page per family. This site provides those pages.
What it leaves out
- People. Director-election records name the nominee. The site keeps counts for director elections and never stores or prints the wording. Proposal titles that could name a person are replaced by the SEC category. Filers whose registered name reads as an individual have no page.
- Outcomes. Form N-PX shows how a filer voted, not what the meeting decided. The site makes no statement about whether any proposal was carried.
- Opinion and advice. Nothing here is investment advice, or a recommendation to hold, avoid or change any fund or holding. The site does not rate funds and does not say how anyone ought to vote. Every filer gets the same template, and figures are published whether they flatter a filer or not.
- Licensed identifiers. Security identifiers in the filings are used during processing to group records by company and are not published.
Funding
The site is free to read and funded by advertising that is clearly labelled. Advertisers and sponsors have no influence over which filers or companies appear or how their records are presented. Sponsor placements, when present, appear on category and season pages only and are marked "Sponsored".
Updates and corrections
New and amended filings are picked up daily; the full record for a season is rebuilt after the 31 August filing deadline. The filing on EDGAR is the record. If a figure here does not match the filing it cites, see corrections. Definitions are in the methodology; sources and licences are on the data sources page.
What the site is not
Vote Scores is not a regulator, not a proxy adviser and not connected to any fund, manager or company named on it. It has no relationship with the SEC beyond reading the filings EDGAR publishes, and the SEC neither reviews nor endorses anything here. It gives no investment advice: a reader deciding what to do about a holding should take that decision with their own licensed adviser.
